European and American Clothing Sizes
|
As requested by our users, we add this guide to European and American clothing sizes with the hope that you find it useful. Keep in mind that in the United States there isn't a real standard for sizing clothes, and usually the more expensive the clothes are, the smaller the sizes.
A size 6 or 8 at Ralph Lauren is a size 10 at K-Mart. We have noticed also that the more expensive clothes tend to be cut more generously for their sizes, to allow the high class customers walk around the store, saying "Please show me the size 6s..." To the other extreme other vendors, such as Lands End, are very truthful in their size charts which makes life a lot easier for their customers. We are open to suggestion on how to make the overview below more representative and useful!

Italian Fashion and Design is on the web since February 1995 and we can truly say that it was the first ever web about fashion. We are releasing within the next months a new section about Italian Design and industrial design that will include furniture, bathrooms ceramics, tiles, home and office accessories, automobiles and other pieces of content about award winning items that won prizes throughout the world and are exposed in museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York. We expect to release this around February 2012.
